Jamie Hidalgo, LPC
Jamie Hidalgo is a Licensed Professional Counselor working in both South Denver and Colorado Springs areas. She completed her Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology and has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. She believes that building strong therapeutic relationships with each person and working together to determine the best course of treatment are the keys to successful therapy. She utilizes an integrative approach to working with people and has extensive training and experience working with trauma and traumatic grief, as well as those struggling with behavioral concerns that have resulted in academic or legal difficulties, such as those involved with social services, probation, truancy courts, or other forensic agencies. Trained in both TF-CBT (Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and EMDR (Eye Movement and Desensitization Reprocessing), as well as traditional psychodynamic and system theories, Jamie continues to strive to learn and develop new skills in the hopes of helping each person on their own journey through this life, to foster growth, and help people find meaning and hope.
